Our writing programme runs across 6 levels, from WG1 to WG6, and it is designed in two phases: Structured Writing and Hybrid Writing.
WG1–WG4: Structured Writing
These levels follow a clear three-lesson cycle within each unit:
- Lesson 1: Learn from a sample text, brainstorm ideas, and build the writing structure.
- Lesson 2: Work on the first writing task and receive feedback.
- Lesson 3: Work on the second writing task, supported by a source text or reading material for that unit.
Each unit focuses on one writing genre, such as narrative, persuasive, argumentation, or compare and contrast. The aim is to help students develop strong idea generation, organization, and structural thinking before moving on to more complex writing.
WG5–WG6: Hybrid Writing
At this stage, the model becomes more flexible. Students are expected to combine genres or writing purposes in a more practical way, so the teacher has greater room to adapt the lesson flow and the graphic organizer.
Across all levels, we also build in Daily Language Practice (DLP) every lesson — a short but important routine that helps students revisit common grammar points in context.
Writing lessons are not only about writing. They also create plenty of opportunities for discussion, sharing ideas, and verbal reasoning, so students are constantly practicing how to think, speak, and write more clearly.
