Protostar Education offers high-quality online English courses. One must first become a full member of Protostar Education before using any services.

Information you provide

Relevant personal information that you provide when registering for an account or using or paying for our services, such as name, gender, nationality, language, occupation, education, age, telephone number, email, address, etc.; the shared information that you provide to others through our services and the information that you store when you use our services.

The following list is the information that we may collect through the device and system devices when you use the service.

1. Log information. When you are using our services, the system signifies your country and preferred language through cookies, web beacon or other automatically collected technical information;
2. Device or software information, such as configuration information provided by your mobile device, web browser and other programs used to access our service;
3. Your IP address and the version of your mobile device. It confirms customer usage and website usage to improve the layout and design of Protostar Education. We track the service usage of members and ensure that our online members remain invisible. Above data will not be linked to any traceable identity;
4. Information that is searched or viewed while using our services, such as keywords searched on search engines, URL addresses visited on social media pages and other information and contents that you browse or request when using our services;
5. Information about your use of our mobile app and other software, as well as the information about the mobile apps and software you have used;

7. Information contained in contents that share through our services (metadata), such as the date, time or location of the filming or recording;
8. Information recorded through our services such as audio recording of courses;

our cookies do not collect additional information from your browser or hard disk of your computer. Most browsers reserve the option of refusing to store the data on the computer as cookies, but we do not recommend this setting because it loses partial convenience when using our services.

2.  HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION?

Please do not transfer or lend your account or password to others.

We retain your personal information only for the necessary period for purposes stated on this Privacy Statement and the necessary period required by law.

3. Match appropriate foreign academic consultant and learning contents according to your needs, geographical region, age, occupation, language proficiency, background, interest, learning preference etc.
4. Help us design new services and improve our existing services.

Analyze the service usage for better understanding of customers’ preference so that we can respond specifically to the individual needs of each customer such as language settings, location settings, personalized help center, or respond to users in different aspects, for example, we may record the IP address of computer and the type of browser by cookies and web beacon for better understanding of the service status or frequently visited web pages.
6. Produce an overall report without an identifiable user group by inviting you to participate in surveys about our products and services. The contents above will not contain any identifiable information.
7. Certify software and manage software update.
